OPEN, ELEGANT & CALM

Faculty office, Technion, Haifa (15 m²)

Why not love where you spend so much time? We recently renovated/re-designed an office at an older building at the Technion. Here, we had to deal with a somewhat confined space – the goal was to find a way to make it feel more open. We accomplished this through integrating the entrance door with floor to ceiling cupboards, and by installing unobtrusive cable shelving.  This client prefers furniture made from natural materials. We therefore designed a desk and a coffee table, which, while elegant and functional, allowed us to additional intriguing lines to the overall composition, and to keep within the budget, we combined different shades of bamboo. Our client looks forward to finding the objets d’art for his new shelves, pieces that represent him, his work, and his aspirations.
